How to balance work, school and friends

published on

We all get stressed about work and school. It can be overwhelming, having to study and get all of your work done. In addition to this you don't want to give up your social life, so you have to make time to hang out with your friends too. Here are a few tips on how to knock out all of your studies, get all of your work done and still have time for a girls day.

  1. Plan Ahead: I'm only 15, so I don't have a job yet. My "work" is this blog. To be sure that I get all of my work done, I schedule certain days of the week that I will post. I do this every Wednesday and Friday. On the weekend and any free days I have throughout the week I like to work on new blog post. This is extremely helpful for those Wednesdays and Fridays when I get home from practice really late and I'm to tired to compose a post on the spot.
  2. Manage Your Time: Time management is the key to success. I like to have something to do at all times. Whenever I get free time while at school (we have a chill day in class or I finish all of my work early) my friends and I like to start on any assignment that is due soon. My gang and I divide up the work the lessen each others loads. This works perfectly because 1.) We don't have to do all of the work on our own and 2.) We finish the assignments quicker, this gives us free time on the weekends and we don't have to worry about it anymore.
  3. Stay Organized: When it comes to school and work I'm a little OCD (maybe a lot OCD). I need everything to be in it's rightful place and stay there. I keep a different binder for each of my classes as well as my blog/YouTube stuff. I also like to divide these binders up using tabs and labeling each section. I also like to use a planner and the calendar on my phone. I take my planner to every class and check write down any assignments I have, therefore I won't forget. I use the calendar on my phone to plan all of my blog post and videos. I make sure to use different stickers when labeling the events, these are like my digital binder tabs.
  4. Set Up Study Dates: Study dates are the best thing since In-n-Out! Who doesn't love the idea of hanging out at a coffee shop with your friends and getting your work done simultaneously?  it's a two-fer! Call up a few of your friends with the same classes as you and meet up at  your local coffee shop. You all can help each other with assignments and hang out at the same time.
That's all the tips for today folks! i hope you found this post helpful. If you have anymore tips or tricks leave a comment below to share!

My Birthday Wishlist

published on Wednesday, January 21, 2015

I'm so excited for my birthday (February 8)! What do you think of my B-Day picks? I've always wanted a hockey jersey. I also have a new thing for Calvin Klein sports bras and watches. I've been meaning to get some new denim  overalls as well. If any of these items are on any of your wishlists let me know. We can both get them and be TWINNIES!

Girls in Pearls

published on Friday, January 16, 2015

Hey babes,
Mia Denise here! My pearl embellished sweater was the inspiration for this look. I love the detailing.

To continue with the pearl trend I paired this sweater with stackable pearl bracelets.

I thought the best color to pair with the oatmeal sweater was white, so I wore these cropped white pants.

To finish the look, I added a white envelope bag.

We all know I love vintage pieces, but The WhitePepper's Lookbook made me fall even deeper in love. I was scrolling through my bloglovin' feed when I saw a post about this throwback inspired collection.
The gray spotted bow tie blouse is me favorite part of this outfit.

This striped look is simple and very feminine.

Song stuck in your head, literally. I love how creative this look is. Using the old school record with a new twist was super cool.

Talk about sassy, this t-shirt midi smock dress and square jumpsuit are perfect! The ivory sheepskin biker jacket was a nice way to add some edge to the ensemble.

Saved my favorite for last! I'm head over heels for this outfit. The shoes in combination with the dress and even the socks is absolute style perfection. I also love her hair in these photographs its very soft and girly. I love the fact that you can simply wear the dress alone or add a leather jacket to add a totally new feel.

Which look is your favorite?

My 2015 Inspiration Board

published on Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Okay, so we all know how I feel/felt about 2014 (if not read about it here). To keep myself motivated and optimistic this year, I decided to make this inspiration board. I put things that inspired me from all aspects such as fashion, food, health and beauty.
I went to my local bookstore and picked up a few of my favorite magazines. This is the simplest diy ever! All you need is a poster board, magazines or any pictures that inspire you, glue and a pair of scissors.
I just scanned through the magazines and cut out any pictures that stuck out to me. After I cut them out, I arranged them in an order I liked. Finally, I glued everything in it's place and BAM my inspiration board was complete. If you all ever decide to do an inspo board send it to me, we can inspire each other!
HAPPY 2015!

Anyone who says you shouldn't wear white after Labor day is dead wrong. Lately I've been really into darker tones and monochromatic outfits. I love how simple and sleek this look is.

Big floppy hats are essential for the fall and winter seasons.

I love the extra polished feel the jacket adds to this outfit. I wanted to do something a little more formal but still chic.
