TIPS FOR GLOWING SKIN



Hey Friends!
Autumn is officially here! Changes in the weather mean changes within your skin. As we enter a new season our skin is going to need a little extra TLC.  It's so important to keep your skin hydrated to ensure you keep that Summer glow year-round. I get loads of compliments on how clear and radiant my skin is and today I'm going to share a few of my favorite tips for hydrated skin with you!

Hydrate Your Body With Water

We all know water is essential for health. This tip is super basic and would seem like common sense, however a lot of us aren't drinking as much water as we should. Exactly how much water you should drink a day varies for everyone though it is recommended to drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day. Water not only hydrates, it cleanses as well. This is super helpful for combatting pimples and breakouts.

Drink Hot Tea 

Tea does awesome things for your body and skin. It fights the damage of UV rays, has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce swelling and irritation, and is packed with antibacterial agents that get rid of acne and clogged pores. Hot green tea with lemon and honey is my favorite, but if drinking tea isn't really your thing, you can pick up tea infused face masks. 

Facial Steam

Facial steam is another great way to get water into your skin and open up your pores. There are plenty of affordable facial steamers on Amazon. You can also get your steam on by simply using the shower. Another way to face steam is to boil a pot of water and sit over it covered by a towel.




Hydrating Masks

Hydrating face masks are a given. They are a quick and easy way to add moisture to your skin without breaking the bank. My favorite hydrating face masks are the Hydro boost Gel Masks by Neutrogena. After taking off all of my makeup, I like to pop on a mask and watch some Gossip Girl. 

Exfoliate

Exfoliating is essential because it gets rid of dry and dead skin. It is recommended to exfoliate twice a week for normal and combination skin and once a week for sensitive skin. Getting rid of these dead layers will expose fresh, new, radiant skin.

Moisturizing Night Cream

After opening and cleaning your pores you must protect them. Having a thick night cream locks in all of the moisture. We definitely don't want all that hard work going to waste. Apply a night cream once you've done your skincare routine to hydrate and rejuvenate your skin while you sleep.
